Late Nite Laundry

Late Nite Laundry is a psychedelic-soul quartet from Chicago. Consisting of Ari Lindo, Alex Santilli, Brenden Cabrera, and Emily Burlew, the four-piece band fuses jazz, soul, and indie-pop to balance smooth and sultry sounds on the surface with a layer of deeply introspective lyrics lying underneath. While they’ve released music since 2019, they restructured as a four-piece after 2020 and began releasing a series of singles. Now working with bedroom pop and indie-funk tastemakers Acrophase Records (Ginger Root, King Pari), they made their most conclusive statement with their self-titled EP in 2022.

Featured in The Chicago Tribune, Remezcla, Audiotree, and more, the band has received attention for their innate chemistry, with each member fulfilling integral roles outside of the instrument they play — Burlew’s design talent, Cabrera’s mixing and production expertise, Lindo’s writing and live band experience, and Santilli’s seasoned background as a touring and gigging musician. But more than the sum of these parts, Late Nite Laundry works like a small family, needing each member to be there to be whole. They’re currently working on their debut album.
